Skin Care
The Center for Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery
Board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis offers a range of nonsurgical skin care procedures that can rejuvenate and revitalize your appearance without surgery.
Some of the most popular nonsurgical skin care procedures available today are photorejuvenation, microdermabrasion, and injectable fillers such as Restylane and Sculptra.
Photorejuvenation
Photorejuvenation is a process in which the skin is targeted with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments. IPL is a technique that allows your cosmetic surgeon to aim pulses of light at your complexion, rejuvenating and renewing the skin's surface.
Photorejuvenation can treat a host of cosmetic skin problems in a single procedure, targeting dullness, freckles, age spots, rosacacea, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, flushing and redness, small spider veins, and other problems, in a single, noninvasive procedure.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a procedure in which your cosmetic surgeon applies a fine exfoliant to the skin to slough off the top layer of skin and all the damage that goes along with it. The microdermabrasion process leaves the patient with clear, healthy, more vibrant looking skin.
Injectable fillers
Injectable fillers, such as Restylane and Sculptra, are substances that are injected directly into problem areas of the face, to fill out wrinkles, scarring, and other skin imperfections. These injectable fillers can also be used to fill in larger areas, such as sunken areas beneath the eyes, or to enhance features such as the lips. Also see our section on collagen injections, another popular type of filler.
