I would like to acknowledge the excellent work of Dr. Kotis. I had lost over 50 pounds and experienced excessive skin in the abdominal and breast areas. I was very happy about my weight loss but so disappointed in the saggy just skin breasts that I now acquired. I not only lost fat but breast mass too. I went to my regular doctor who told me that that’s just the way you are and there was nothing but cosmetic surgery to correct the problem I was experiencing. I interviewed four different physicians who were board certified which included Dr. Kotis.

Dr. Kotis was the most congenial and honest person out of all of them. He explained my problem and offered his recommendations to me. He gave me time to think about the procedures without being pressured. I am writing in behalf of my experience with Dr. John A. Kotis.

I am 37 years of age. About 3 years ago, I had breast augmentation, with another surgeon. From the start of that experience, till recently, my breasts went from bad to worse.

With the grace of God, board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis entered my life.

I did something totally out of my character, and went to a doctor, just by chance. I always go to somebody, who knows somebody, etc.... I read his advertisement in a paper, and my gut said, Him.

From the front desk reception to the initial consultation with the Doctor, I knew I would be in good hands. He was precise, and exact, in his explanation of the procedures needed to be executed on me. He was genuinely concerned for me and my health.

On the day of my surgery, his head nurse and the Anesthesiologist nurse were all over the top too.

Dr. Kotis, really worked hard for me, took his time, and left me in immaculate shape.

It is with exceptional pleasure that I write this letter of Thanks and Appreciation to a medical doctor and surgeon who had such a tremendous and positive impact on my life in such a brief period of time.

When rolled into Grant Hospital Emergency Room on August 31, 2000, I had no idea who would be the “specialist” that agreed to take on my case.  Given the many restrictions of the HMO system, I was indeed afraid of the possibilities as well as in a state of shock and trauma from the severe injury that was sustained when I passed out falling down a stairwell onto glass.  This freak accident left me with severe cuts on m y left arm severing arteries, tendons, muscles and nerves to my left hand.

Within 30 minutes of the ER arrival you provided me with a most pleasant smile and introduction.  You very carefully addressed my injury with me and my family and, how you would address my injury in this emergency.  Despite the lack of information given by a previous hospital regarding the severity of my injury, you maintained the most professional and confident “bedside manner” that I have experience with any medical doctor.  It is difficult to explain just how important those things were to me as you entered into the risks that could also be involved.  Your most wonderful demeanor left me a willing and supportive patient who was confidence in the surgeon who in less that ½ hour was performing a major life threatening surgery.  It is this same aura that guides my willingness to be a participant in the lengthy healing process that will follow.

So often we are given “Blessings” that go unrecognized and deny God the Thanks and Praise for providing them.  I will Thank God every day for the rest of my life for using you as a vehicle to provide me with yet another Blessing.  Through you, I have truly been “Touched by an Angel.”  May God and the Positive Spirit that guides your own beliefs, provide to you, your family and your professional practice the very best that life can offer.  It is clear that you not only worked very hard with your education, but that you are dedicated and enjoy your work.

You are indeed an exceptional doctor and an extraordinary people person!  Please don’t ever lose that quality because that alone will contribute to the healing of the many fortunate patients who will choose you as a physician in the future! If I could bottle your knowledge, your smile and your ability to communicate with understanding and confidence, I would use it to help heal the world from negative energy! Dear Dr. Kotis,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for your excellent work and conscientious care in the repair and recovery of my damaged flexor tendon.

As you are aware, on January 4, 2006 you performed surgery to repair extensive damage to my right ring finger which I experienced during a football game.  Unfortunately, I was unaware of the extent of the damage and continued to play for several weeks, as well as lift weights. 

However, through your skill and interest I was able to quickly recover, and experience no discomfort.  Admittedly, I was surprised at how soon I was able to return to my weight training program, and am excited to inform you that I am already at the levels I was prior to my injury.  Also, I was able to begin softball play only three months after surgery, and have noticed no limitations in my skills.

Additionally, I have been amazed as the absence of any scars or notice that I even had surgery.  Given the amount of work which was required, it is truly an example of your abilities and effort that at less than four months later, I have no noticeable markings from this experience.

Furthermore, I would also like to inform you of the excellent care that I received from Meredith Payne-Trost and Jorge Catalan of Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers.  Given that my selection of Accelerated was based upon your referral, I think it is important to inform you of the assistance I received from both.

Please know that I would strongly recommend your services to anyone who encounters an injury such as mine.  Again, thank you for your tireless work in assisting me to return to my highly active lifestyle.

I am very pleased with the work board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis did on my nose.  My friends and family have all commented on how well my nose looks, as they remembered how I looked after my accident.  It seems that he hid the 23 stitches, as they are not discernible.  My nose is as straight as it ever was, and my breathing has not been affected in the least.  Kudos to you Dr. Kotis, and many thanks for a fine job.

After researching for several months and meeting with two other very qualified plastic surgeons, I met with Dr. Kotis.  It was a very pleasant and informal meeting that lasted about two hours.  board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis impressed me with his forthright honesty and overall demeanor.  I chose to schedule surgery at that first visit.  Having confirmed the Doctors credentials and veracity of the information that he provided I kept the scheduled surgery date.

On March 18, 2004 I underwent both a tummy tuck and liposuction at Lincoln Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.  The visit with board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis on the morning of the surgery left me feeling positive and comfortable.  The results of the surgery were stunning.  For the first time in my life my stomach was flat.  The postoperative care and bedside manners of board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis were outstanding.

Having experienced the superb skills, professionalism, and friendly personality of board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis first hand I decided to undergo additional surgery by him.  On February 16, 2005 board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis performed both a breast lift and liposuction on me.  This surgery was performed at his facility in Arlington Heights, Illinois.  The highly qualified team that board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis assembled to assist him during surgery provided me with excellent care.  The results were beyond my expectations.  Just days after surgery my breasts were more beautiful than they were ever before.

I would trust board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kotis to perform any additional plastic surgery that I may decide to have done in the future.  I like the results of his work as well as the way that he keeps me informed and comfortable.
