A traditional facelift produces incredible, dramatic results, but for some patients – particularly those with early signs of aging – it’s just too invasive. For these patients, we recommend the PRP lift. This treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid fillers and platelet-rich plasma to temporarily restore facial fullness and radiance.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally-occurring substance that is found in the body and is responsible for retaining moisture and creating a supple appearance. The fillers used during the PRP lift are composed of HA and work to replenish some of your body’s natural supply.
Platelet-rich plasma is the portion of your blood that contains a higher concentration of platelets. Platelets are responsible for a host of anti-aging tasks, including triggering new collagen and elastin production and breaking up scar tissue.

Your PRP lift will be done in the comfort of our Chicago office. The entire procedure should take 30 to 60 minutes to complete, and you will be free to return to work and your normal daily routine immediately afterward. Here’s what to expect during your appointment:
Step One: Filler injections
Your PRP lift will begin with the careful application of hyaluronic acid fillers to restore full, youthful facial contours that have diminished due to the natural aging process.
Step Two: Isolate the PRP
Once your HA fillers have been placed, we will draw a small amount of blood and purify it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma for the procedure.
Step Three: PRP injections
This is the final step of your PRP lift. During this process, we will inject the platelet-rich plasma at various locations throughout the face to heal and rejuvenate your skin from the inside out.
After your PRP lift, you can expect some mild swelling, redness, and bruising. To ensure optimal healing, keep the area clean and protect it from extreme temperatures and the sun for one week.
In about three weeks, you should notice a visible improvement in the appearance of your skin. The full results will appear in three months, at which point we typically recommend an additional PRP lift to maintain your results.
