If a stubborn layer of fat is the only thing standing between you and a chiseled body, high definition liposuction may just be the solution you’ve been looking for.
If you’re active at the gym and you eat well, you want your body to reflect your hard work and dedication. Unfortunately, genetics and the natural aging process often get in the way of these goals, resulting in a layer of fat that hides your underlying musculature. When this occurs, high definition liposuction can remove this fat and unveil the athletic body contour you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Many of our patients are interested in high definition liposuction – but the procedure isn’t right for everyone.

What to expect during high definition liposuction
The high definition liposuction procedure is done on an out-patient basis. To begin, Dr. Kotis will administer local anesthesia to numb the treatment area, shrink your blood vessels, and minimize bruising.
From there, the high definition liposuction cannula will be inserted directly into the location of your unwanted fat. Dr. Kotis will target and gently break down the excess volume and will sculpt your anatomy with precision, using controlled movements to create your ideal body contour.
You will be able to return home immediately after high definition liposuction to begin the recovery process.
Here’s what to expect as you heal:
Wear your compression garment as directed to speed healing and optimize your results
Return to sedentary work after seven to ten days
Resume light activity within two to four weeks
Avoid strenuous activity and exercise until you are cleared by Dr. Kotis
You should see a visible improvement immediately after your appointment, though your body contour will be obscured by post-surgical swelling and bruising. Your results will continue to progress as you heal, with your final outcome emerging three to four months after the procedure.
You can expect to preserve your new body contour as long as you maintain a stable weight. Any future fluctuations or pregnancies will affect your results.
