Affects of Gynecomastia for Men

Although diet and exercise can help tremendously it can also cause a lot of frustration and anxiety in those that have issue that cannot be fixed by more exercise and healthier eating habits. Some men are plagued with an enlargement of their breasts because the breast itself has too much fat and breast tissue in the breast glands. In reality 56% of older men and 37% of younger men suffer from this condition.

The Procedure
Dr. John A. Kotis uses his expertise to properly assess each patient and their needs. Dr. Kotis approach depends on the degree of stretching and sagginess in the breast tissue. Those that just have excess fat and glandular tissue but have breast tissue will likely require Liposuction only. Those that have excess fat and glandular tissue but have very stretchy and saggy skin will require tissue excision.
The Degrees of Severity of Male Gynecomastia
Grade 1 is low severity and is basically a small amount of fatty tissue that is located around the areola
Grade 2 is medium to high severity and is basically a larger amount of fatty tissue that extends to area around the areola to the outer portion of the chest without a distinct look of a breast.
Grade 3 is obvious and high in severity and is basically an even larger amount of fatty tissue that extends to the area around the areola to the outer portion of the chest with the minor look of a female breast.
Grade 4 is very high in severity. In this case the breast has enlarged and looks like a female breast.
Although gynecomastia is not a health issue or life threatening it is Plastic Surgery and any surgery should be taken seriously as a valid condition that some men face and cannot correct through diet and exercise.
