Want To Get Rid Of Frown Lines? Forehead Lift Will Eliminate Deep Frown Lines, Dr. Kotis in Chicago knows how!
A facelift is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries because it can renew your face from the nose to the jawline and the neck. These areas make up the mid and lower portion of the face, but what about the upper portion? Wouldn’t there be a clear contrast between the renewed and fresh mid and lower portions of the face and the upper part? The solution to balance this out is to opt for a forehead lift surgery with Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. John A. Kotis.
What is it?
As you age deep frown lines can form on your forehead, face, and in your cheeks, nasal labial folds, and underneath the eyes. These eliminate the youthful look you were accustomed to in the past. You can get that corrected by a forehead lift surgery. This surgery, also known as a brow lift, is a procedure that can correct the horizontal lines or furrows on your face, as well as poorly positioned or drooping eyebrows.
Dr. John A. Kotis will make an incision to reach the muscles that cause these frowns and either eliminate, alter or weaken them to ensure that you have a smooth forehead and a frown-free or frown less forehead.
The Procedure
A forehead lift can be conducted in one of two ways, either by a conventional method or through an endoscopic method. Which one to choose, will depend largely on what the doctor prefers and which one is best suited to your needs. For a conventional forehead lift, an incision is made just behind your hairline. On the other hand, for an endoscopic procedure, minimal incisions are made all along the scalp. Here, the use of a surgical camera is made to find out which muscles are causing the irregularities on your face.
The only real difference between the two methods is in the size of the incisions and essentially, both methods accomplish the same thing.
Despite typically being performed on patients ranging from 40 years and above, there is no rule regarding who can get a forehead lift and who can’t. What is important though for any Facial Surgery, is that the patient is in good health.
Want a Preview?
Most people who want to get a forehead lift are scared of the eventual appearance that they may have post-surgery. If you want to see how your face is going to change, all you need to do is place the palm of your hands on the outer edges of your eyes and gently draw up the forehead with your brows, without getting a look of being surprised. While you are doing it, hold still and look into the mirror.
