Are you looking for a non-invasive treatment option to rejuvenate your skin without a long recovery time?

A glycolic peel may be right for you. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. John A. Kotis provides a personal consultation to all patients in the Chicago, Arlington Heights, and surrounding communities in Illinois and can help you determine if a glycolic peel is right for you.

What is a Glycolic Peel?

Glycolic peels are a type of chemical peel used to rejuvenate skin by penetrating deeper than the outermost layer of the skin. Also known as an alpha hydroxy peel, glycolic peels use glycolic acid, a natural acid stemming from citrus fruit and sugar cane.

Glycolic peels are specially formulated to remove dull skin cells on the top layer of your skin, promoting your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production. It then penetrates to deeper layers, producing an even-toned, glowing result that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and flawless.

How Will

I benefit from a Glycolic Peel?

Glycolic peels provide many benefits to a wide range of patients including those prone to acne or with uneven skin tone caused by freckles or other skin discoloration.

Major benefits experienced include:

  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Smoothing of skin tone caused by blemishes or freckles

  • Prevention and treatment of acne-prone areas

  • Early treatment of sun-damaged skin with potentially pre-cancerous cells

Recovery After a Glycolic Peel

Once the glycolic peel treatment is complete, your skin will be sensitive. It is best to stay out of direct sunlight for at least 72 hours. Most of Dr. Kotis’s patients see results after their first glycolic peel treatment.

Fuller, more dramatic results are achieved after multiple treatments. After treatment, you should continue protecting your skin by applying sunscreen.

How Much Does a Glycolic Peel Cost?

Glycolic peels are a skin care treatment most insurance companies classify as elective and are not typically covered. However, Dr. Kotis offers many affordable options for payment, including financing. He also accepts major credit cards, personal checks or cash.

We will honor written quote for procedures from any board certified plastic surgeon. Listed pricing is all inclusive – no hidden fees (includes pre-op, post-op visits and fees for the surgeons, facility, and anesthesia).
